AKWA IBOM GOVERNORSHIP MANIFESTOS, 2023

One fundamental element of democracy is the conduct of free and fair elections. Political candidates have the right to freely express diverse opinions and put forward developmental plans for the people while canvassing for their support and vote, citizens on the other hand have the right to interact and interrogate the plans of political candidates and to hold them accountable once elected.

The team at Clement Isong Foundation (CIF) having realized the importance of informed decision, especially during elections made efforts to source and compile all accessible manifestos of Akwa Ibom gubernatorial candidates in the first of the series called Roadto2023: A Compendium of Akwa Ibom Governorship Candidates’ Manifestos.

We hope this document will help increase citizens’ awareness of the agenda/promises of political candidates and inform their choices of the candidate that is best fit to be handed the mantle of leadership of Akwa Ibom People.
