A 2 DAYS TRAINING ON COUNTERING TRAFFIC IN PERSONS
The definition of “trafficking in persons” encompasses various actions aimed at exploiting individuals through coercion, fraud, or other means. This global criminal industry affects millions annually, particularly women and girls, undermining the rule of law and perpetuating gender inequality. Conflict exacerbates trafficking, increasing vulnerability and demand for exploited goods and services.
To combat these challenges, LEAP Nigeria, in partnership with organizations like the Clement Isong Foundation, conducted a 2-day training on countering trafficking in persons. The training aimed to strengthen capacity in preventing human trafficking, highlighting the importance of collective action in addressing this pervasive issue.
