Okoritak, an oil-producing community in Ibeno LGA, suffers from extreme neglect despite the wealth generated from their land.

Through the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA II) Project, Clement Isong Foundation, in collaboration with ActionAid Nigeria, brought a celebrated Ambassador Mark Angel to witness the struggles of this resilient community.

This is a call to action for the Akwa Ibom State Government, Network Exploration, and all well-meaning Akwa Ibom sons and daughters and beyond to step in and restore dignity to this community and amplify the voices of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Ibeno Chapter.

The promises made by oil companies have remained unfulfilled, leaving the people without clean water, healthcare, or basic amenities. Diseases like cholera are taking a toll, but the voices of the people must not be silenced.

Let’s stand in solidarity and demand accountability. Together, we can create a better future for this community.

Join the movement and help spread the message!
