Akwa Ibom State SPA II Youth Network Convergence

Activity Overview

Introduction

A 2-day convergence was organized by the Clement Isong Foundation (CIF) in partnership with ActionAid Nigeria under the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA II) Youth Network Project. The event was held from 27th–28th November 2025 and brought together young leaders across Akwa Ibom State to reflect on progress, share impact stories, and strengthen youth-led engagement in governance and community development.

The convergence served as a platform to assess key shifts achieved so far, identify emerging opportunities, and co-create strategies to deepen youth participation and influence in public processes.

Highlights

Participants included representatives from youth networks, civil society organizations, community groups, and partner institutions actively engaged in SPA II activities across the state.

Over the two days, young people shared real changes taking place in their communities, discussed lessons learned, and identified actionable steps to strengthen collective advocacy and accountability efforts. Interactive sessions enabled participants to reflect on achievements, document outcomes harvested from the project, and align on practical next steps for sustained impact.

The energy, commitment, and collaboration demonstrated throughout the convergence reaffirmed the growing strength of youth-led movements in Akwa Ibom State. While the event has concluded, the momentum continues as participants return to their communities inspired and better equipped to drive meaningful change.
