Clement Isong Foundation (CIF) through the Strategic Partnership Agreement II Project organized a capacity building training for young people on Budget Monitoring and Tracking with the effort to build youths capacity for development and effective participation in the democratic process. The 2Day events which drew selected youths in Akwa Ibom aimed at empowering citizens on participatory governance and effective engagement of young people, key stakeholders and policy makers. The training was timely, considering that Nigeria’s democracy was ageing, hence the need for young people in the state to shift from being normal citizens to active citizens for development to happen in communities.
