The USAID-funded State2State project in Nigeria aims to address the exclusion faced by persons with disabilities, especially in low-income countries like Nigeria. In Akwa Ibom, the project conducted Disability Inclusion Awareness Training for various stakeholders, including CSOs, FBOs, MDAs, and CBOs, from August 29th to September 1st, 2022. The training focused on developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to ensure that activities effectively address the needs, priorities, and rights of beneficiaries with disabilities. Topics covered included understanding disability, implications for program delivery, disability inclusion in project cycles, and awareness of relevant data, policies, and laws. This initiative seeks to promote inclusivity and improve the lives of persons with disabilities in Nigeria.
